When I was about 21 and still had my student public transport, I regularly went to Amsterdam to shop. And although it is a perfect place to shop for some of the more eccentric clothes I wore at the time, I was not necessarily a fan of Amsterdam. It was too busy for me and I lost my way. But I have to admit that my opinion about Amsterdam had really changed recently. And yes, you can still walk over it on an average Saturday afternoon. But even close to the center there are so many beautiful places that are also quieter. And the nice thing about such a vibrant city is: There is always something to do everywhere. Are you looking for a nice place to have a cup of coffee or a bite to eat? You almost don't have to leave the street for it. Delicious! Plus of course the canals and old buildings that are oh so charming. Talk about charming. May I introduce you to Kim and Chris. Hoteldebotel in love and almost married too. I was at their house prior to this shoot and we chatted about everything. This way you get to know people a little better, and I really like that! Looking around their interior, I quickly saw some similarities. They, like me, also have a relationship that is partly long-distance. They also love to travel, judging by the large pile of Lonely Planet books. And during the delicious lunch that was prepared for us, it turned out that they also loved toast with avocado and fried bacon. So we could set off with a well-filled stomach! Kim and Chris actually made my job very easy. Because during the shoot they were just themselves and very clearly madly in love with each other. And then those beautiful photos just come naturally.
