A few weeks ago, during a photo shoot at the famous Vasco Kappers I met Mike in Roermond Sir James in knowing. These two businesses share a business on the Neerstraat in Roermond. We quickly started talking about our shared interest in photography (Mike was also once a photographer) and about his business. How do you describe Sir James? That cannot simply be summarized in one sentence. First of all, Sir James sells motorcycles. But not just any dime-a-dozen engines that you can buy anywhere. At Sir James you buy a custom-made motorcycle. Your one-of-a-kind two-wheeler is made for you based on an existing engine. Look, I'm interested in that. I like things that are not average. Mike really has a passion for engines and in his workshop at the back of the shop he tinkers with them with a lot of love. But besides motorcycles, you can also buy all kinds of accessories such as crash helmets and gloves at Sir James, and even if you don't ride a motorcycle, you can indulge in the cool clothing collection from, among others. Pike Brothers and Deus Ex Machina.
After our meeting, Mike asked me to portray his case beautifully. It was mainly about atmospheric images of the business that clearly reflect Sir James' philosophy. But he also needed photos of a number of motorcycles and clothing. Spread over two half-days, I got to work with great pleasure. Because in cases like this I am really in my element. First I photographed the business and the motorcycles, and a day later the clothing. Wonderful to do! The result is a photo series that perfectly reflects what Sir James is.
Take a look for yourself and be sure to drop by at Neerstraat 68b in Roermond. You will not regret it!
