A Dutch lady goes to Las Vegas and meets her Prince Charming. Not just any Prince Charming, but a British one. The two soon fall hopelessly in love. Because they can no longer bear to live so far apart, the prince swims across the Channel on his white horse, and voilá: happily ever after! It could easily have been a script for a slightly sappy romantic comedy, right?
Okay, I admit it. The above story has of course been exaggerated a bit. But Paulien and Rob really got to know each other in Las Vegas, and Rob also moved all the way to the Netherlands for Paulien.
You don't have to look at the photos for long to see why. What a beautiful beautiful couple together! The rest of the day was just as good. The wedding location was unique to say the least: The bride's parents live in this beautiful castle. Hours and hours of work were put into ensuring that everything was arranged and decorated down to the last detail. The bridesmaids wore matching dresses - the English way - and the groomsmen were armed with a good dose of English humor. The groom wore a bow tie made from his family pattern. Families with a Scottish background have their own diamond pattern, just like certain families have a family coat of arms. The sun was shining and the sky was blue. Enough ingredients for a wonderful day!
I have long forgotten that during the outdoor dinner a rain and thunderstorm broke out, which you say you are not aware of!
