Bonjour France! Yesss, I was allowed to go out again for a beautiful wedding in France! With the self-built camper I raced towards the beautiful Chateau Lagut for another great collaboration with the top performers from Fate Of Happiness. These people really don't know how to stop! One beautiful wedding after another.
Although I am no longer a stranger to France, it was my first time at this location. And that makes it just that little bit extra special. After parking the camper van in a nice spot, I went exploring! It didn't take long before I was warmly greeted by Maaike's broad smile, Dirk's bright blue eyes and the wonderful smell of Joachim's barbecue. Bring on that wedding weekend!
The atmosphere quickly became good. The sun shone brightly and the bridal couple also beamed. After a cheerful first look we went to take pictures in what is apparently one of the most beautiful villages in France: Saint-Jean-de-Côle. And I don't think there is much of a lie in that. It is a very cute and picturesque village with plenty of beautiful photo opportunities. I could really indulge my photographer's heart there. After an hour or so we drove back to the castle, satisfied and slightly overheated. A beautiful wedding ceremony was planned. One of the bridal couple's best friends took care of the ceremony and that of course made it extra personal and emotional.
After the yess and rings, it was time for my favorite part of the day: Cake! Oh I love it. A nice, thick piece of wedding cake is really a guilty pleasure of mine. The group had a great time and it was fun all day long. At the almost underground party, the liquid gold was generously served and drunk, and the brakes were soon released. At about 3 o'clock in the morning we (the Lot Of Happiness crew and I) were the last to go to bed. My home on wheels was calling my name and the mattress rarely slept so well.
Anyway, time for a photo report:
