2 Fearless Awards & mention on 'Best Weddings Photographers of 2017' by Fearless Photographers!
I have to say, 2018 is off to a great start! After I previously received great news about a 16th place worldwide at ISPWP, another great message came in today. This time about the Fearless Awards.
In the past it has proven to be particularly difficult to win such a coveted Fearless award. Only the best of the best photos are awarded. But persistence wins, and so I received my first award in 2016! I still remember that moment very well.
But today's awards really came as a surprise. It had completely passed me by that the winners would be announced, so the Messenger message from colleague Marieke this morning came as a very pleasant surprise! “Congratulations on your Fearless Award!!!” Of course I had to check it out to believe it, but it was true! However, at the Fearless Awards the photos are not in a specific order. So I didn't know that I still had a winning photo until it was pointed out to me by another colleague. What a party!
A little later in the day – sorry I'm not that fast today – I saw the Fearless 'Best Wedding Photographers of 2017' list had been published, and I was also able to get a place there. So not only at ISPWP, but also at Fearless Photographers a place in the Top 100 worldwide!
What great news, and what an honor to be included in these lists. These are results I only dreamed of a few years ago. It is very nice that hard work is rewarded in this way.
