How do I work during your wedding?

At a wedding I work mostly inconspicuously. I'm always on the hunt for those spontaneous moments and intense emotions, without directing or interfering. You can look more as a guest than as a photographer. You can be yourself while I shoot the coolest images without you noticing.

    Ranked 5th worldwide by the International Society for Professional Wedding Photographers (ISPWP)

    The message I am typing now is actually no longer news. It's old news, completely out of date. But let's just say it took a while for things to sink in.

    Let me tell you something about the ISPWP: As the long name suggests, it is an international community for professional wedding photographers. You cannot simply become a member of the ISPWP. You must have been working as a wedding photographer for some time and have already photographed the necessary weddings. Your portfolio will be critically examined and assessed by a panel of photographers who are already members. Finally, you must provide a reference in the form of a photographer who is already a member. In short: you don't just become a member, and the ISPWP is a community that consists of only very good photographers.

    The ISPWP organizes a competition several times a year. Many thousands of photos are submitted worldwide in this competition in about 10 categories. The best 20 from each category will then receive an ISPWP Award. That is an achievement in itself, and I have managed to win such an Award a few times before. But the results of this competition really changed my mind…

    Not only did I win 4 Awards in 1 competition, but 3 of these awards were FIRST PLACE WORLDWIDE in their category. This put me in 5th place worldwide overall. WOW. I seriously didn't know what to say about it for a long time. It's stunning, it's amazing. And the best part is: no one will ever take this away from me. I think the day I got this news was one of the best days of my career.
