A rollercoaster. That is a very careful description of what preceded the beautiful wedding of Linda and Remo, who got married with their closest family and friends in the Ardennes, near Sechery.
Where should I even start? Let's not skip the obvious: Getting married during the Corona crisis is a true relationship test for many bridal couples and a test for their flexibility and creativity.
Linda and Remo contacted me quite some time ago because they were getting married on Sechery. And that is a very beautiful location, so I was already enthusiastic. I also had a great opportunity to work with Nailia van again Best Day Ever Events and Vivian van The Bridesmaid. Then you can count on a beautiful wedding, taken care of down to the last detail! But now I didn't have an average bridal couple in front of me either. Linda and Remo are an international couple: They live half the year in Hong Kong and the other half in Switzerland. Quite a contrast, eh? Doubly nice - in addition to their fantastically sweet and beautiful dog - is the fact that during their stay in Europe they are working on a very nice project, namely a real TinyHouse. Built and designed from scratch. Linda is very good at that. Remo is also such a handy Harrie, and they make many of the parts for the house themselves.
Well, that all sounds quite calm and anything but stressful, right? Well, hold on tight. About a month ago it was decided to move to another wedding location, namely Château de Presseux. For the observant viewer, I had the super cool one there last year wedding of cuties Romy and Thijmen photographing. That just worked out a bit better, but it is still exciting to change the entire wedding at the last minute. That's absolutely fine, because that is also a beautiful location. Fortunately, it was all arranged quite quickly.
But then disaster struck: Just a week before the wedding, there was a fire in the castle and the wedding venue burned to the ground. What a disaster! Once again we had to change wedding locations. And again a lot of stress and arranging at the very last minute. An emergency meeting quickly followed with the wedding planners and miraculously they managed to arrange for them to go to the original wedding location within 1 (!) day.
Fortunately, things only went uphill from there. During the wedding day itself, the weather was exceptionally nice, and the bridal couple and guests had the time of their lives. Me too, by the way. Because at such a beautiful wedding it is double the pleasure if I have my favorite partner in crime Carine can take with you to take photos together. In that sense I do believe in karma, and I think that the wonderful day that Linda and Remo were able to celebrate was compensation for all the misery in the weeks before.
Will you enjoy it with me?
