I think back to Roenita and Winish's wedding with a smile. It goes without saying that they are a nice couple and very beautiful to see.
But it was also just a pleasant and warm day with a sweet and fun bridal couple and guests, extremely beautiful and special wedding locations and - for me a big icing on the wedding cake - delicious Indian food to finish. Because if you can wake me up for anything, it's that. It was extra nice that Carine came along as a second shooter. Together we form the perfect wedding photographer duo, and it is so nice and beautiful to be able to share that passion with her.
After the preparations and the first look in the beautiful garden of Roenita's parents, we went for a shoot at the Hortus Botanicus in Amsterdam. Wow, that really warms my heart as a wedding photographer. Now in this case it literally warmed my heart, because the Hortus is in fact a large greenhouse. So to speak, a sauna for plants. So that was quite a sweat!
Fortunately, I can handle the heat quite well and we had a beautiful and pleasant photo shoot at this very special wedding location in the heart of Amsterdam.
But the real marriage would take place a long way away. After the photo shoot with the bridal couple we got back in the car for a drive to Lelystad, back to the city where the day started. Our destination was the very charming Waterlely. What a nice and cozy wedding location in Flevoland! In the meantime it was raining heavily. Somehow that was nice after that heat in the Hortus and the drops did not spoil the fun at all.
A cheerful wedding ceremony followed and after two convincing yes words, congratulations, hugging, laughter and cake were eaten.
Although I normally can't say no to a delicious piece of wedding cake, this time I wanted to save as much space in my stomach as possible, for a very good reason.
The last ride took us from Lelystad to Hilversum. Along the way I can almost smell the delicious Indian food from Surya restaurant. We enjoyed delicious, authentic Indian dishes and with a full belly we returned to Limburg.
There are no photos of the food in this blog, but I can assure you that it was delicious!
