Wedding Photography Maastricht – Hoogenweerth Castle – Janine&Robert

After the yearly ‘hibernation’, it’s always very exciting to get back out there and shoot weddings. After all, you’ve haven’t shot a wedding for several months, so the first couple of weddings of the season always make you feel a bit more nervous than normal. Janine and Robert’s wedding at the beautiful Hoogenweerth Castle in Maastricht was my second wedding of the seasons, and what a pleasure it was! With such a lovely couple to capture, you forget about being nervous so easily. I thoroughly enjoyed capturing their wedding!

My favorite wedding photos of 2016

Time flies, and before you know it, a new year has started. 2016 went by so quickly! And even though technically, a new year means nothing more than a different number on the calendar, it seems to be wired to think that a new year is in some way a new start. Personally, I see it a bit different. A new year is not necessarily a new start, but more like an evolution of the year that went by. That’s why I’ve enjoyed creating this photo series a lot, because it gives a good impression of how I’ve evolved as a photographer. So please allow me to take you on a little trip through the amazing year that 2016 was. Words really fall short to describe it. It was wonderful, it was beautiful, it was sweet, it was emotional, it was funny. But is was also a tough, difficult, emotional and intense year. 2016 was a year in which I was privileged to experience so many wonderful things, but it was also the year that all the hard work almost took its toll.

But looking back at all of the amazing weddings I was allowed to capture, I feel no regret. When your job is as awesome as mine, you’re very happy to work a bit too hard every now and then.

Bruidsfotograaf Limburg – De Indiase verloving van Jessika en Sanal

Waarom zou je je verloving niet ook uitgebreid en uitbundig vieren met vrienden, familie en kennissen? Jessika en Sanal deden het, en hoe! Hun Indiase verloving was een geweldig mooie en kleurrijke mix van de Indiaase en Nederlandse culturen. Jessika in een traditionele, Indiase jurk, en dan samen foto’s maken bij een oerhollandse windmolen. Geweldig vind ik zulke grote contrasten. En natuurlijk was er een mooie ceremonie, een heerlijk diner en een knallend feest. Met als kers op de taart een korte maar o zo mooie fotoshoot bij zonsondergang.

Vele vrienden en familieleden waren helemaal vanuit India naar Nederland gevlogen om het mee te maken. Dat maakt zo’n dag toch wel een beetje extra speciaal. Het was in elk geval een genot om erbij te zijn!
