Let me start by welcoming you to my website. I really appreciate you reading this page to get to know me a bit better. I hope you are doing well!
Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Ruud Claessen. It’s a pleasure to meet you. Roughly 30 years ago, when I was in elementory school, there were 3 young lads with the same first name. There was Ruud B., Ruud P., and then there was me. Every time the class had a test or an assignment, we had to add the first letter of our surnames to avoid confusion with the teacher. Hence the name ‘RUUDC’.
About 15 years ago I got seriously infected with the photography virus and I’ve been ill ever since. I bought my first (2 megapixel!) digital camera at a local pharmacy, along with a 64 MegaBytes (not Gigabytes!) memory card, the biggest one at the time.
A little less than a year later, I bought my first DSLR camera, and photography became a serious hobby of mine. At that time, I mostly shot abstract work, but after a while I also started doing portraits, mostly of friends and colleagues. In 2007 I shot my first wedding, my uncle’s.
Things went out of hand and kept getting out of hand until where we are now.
